South Llano Farm was started in 1997 by John
and Martha Watts and Reginald and Rebecca Stapper. The goal of our
company is to produce a quality agricultural product that is competitive
in today's markets but still comes from a "family farm".
The Kimble County area with its rich bottomland
soils and pristine river water is well suited for this operation.
Reginald and Rebecca are both graduates of Texas
A&M and spent 9 years managing the ecologically diverse Eagle Nest
Ranch located in Real County. Reginald grew up farming and ranching
on his family's place near New Braunfels, Texas.
Martha and John are native Texans with a lifelong
interest in good food, especially the great products of Texas. The
star of these is the delicious, healthful pecan. John and Martha,
with their family and friends, have created dozens of recipes for
pecans, culinary treats which they happily share with our South
Llano Farm customers.
